Hello lovelies! Today I am doing a makeup product review which I never normally do, but... I think it is something worth sharing. I am not a huge makeup products and only ever wear it when I go out. If you know me, my everyday routine involves moisturiser, lipbalm, spot concealing if I'm having a bad day and sometimes mascara. I am not a fan of thick clumpy lashes but the L'Oreal Paradise Mascara is far from it.
I had the idea of doing a favourite brand post just because I have never had a favourite brand since about a year ago. NYX is a makeup brand that is my favourite for so many reasons. Firstly it is drugstore and is therefore reasonably priced making it good value for what you're getting.
I've had the Makeup Revolution Highlighter in Golden Lights for a while now and it's been my favourite highilighter since day 1. Despite looking a silver colour in the pan, it is a beautiful gold colour. I have a olive skin tone so this colour looks like a 'natural' highlight colour like an actual glow from the sun. However I think this would look great on other skin tones because it doesn't look like a yellow streak across your face.
As a person who suffers from acne, let me tell you that looking after your skin is so important. It's not just about what you put on your face but it's also what you put in your body. I'm keeping the introduction short because we have a lot to get through. Face wash: I have 2 different face washes, they both are good so I just pick up whichever one I feel like using each morning. The first is good for sensitive skin and it's the Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash which is normally £3.59 but has been reduced to £1.75 in both Superdrug and Boots. The second is the Clearasil Daily Clear Hydra-blast Gel Wash which is £3.05 in Superdrug.
On first look I must say that this is one of the most beautiful neutral eyeshadow palettes that I have ever seen. I am not hugely into eyeshadow but this definitely caught my eye. I would recommend getting the I Heart Makeup palette because I honestly think it is a dupe for a fraction of the price. It might be good to get if you are unsure whether the shades are for you, as you can test out the shades and then decide whether you want to buy the real palette.
I don’t feel like anyone should ever feel worried about how they look without makeup, nor should they wear it to impress others. If you like wearing a full face (even if you have flawless skin which I have seen before), then you keep doing what you’re doing. You should only ever wear or do things if it makes you happy. Never do something because it’s ‘in’ right now or because your friends are doing it. Message of this blog: embrace your natural self but don’t feel ashamed to make yourself feel happier even if that is by wearing makeup or certain clothes.
